Directorate for STEM Education Advisory Committee

The STEM Education Advisory Committee advises the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Directorate for STEM Education (EDU) on issues concerning NSF's programs for STEM education and human resource development.

Advisory committee members perform the following duties:

  • Develop effective and efficient strategies to assess the condition of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in the U.S.
  • Provide oversight of overall program management and performance.
  • Provide advice as to the impact of NSF-wide policies on the STEM community.

NSF accepts recommendations for EDU advisory committee membership. Recommendations should include the name and affiliation of the person submitting the nomination and the name, curriculum vita, employment address, telephone number and email address of the recommended individual as well as an expression of the individual's interest in serving. Self-recommendations are accepted. Please send your nomination materials to Bonnie Green at bongreen@nsf.gov.

Although NSF welcomes all recommendations, the agency will not be able to acknowledge or respond to each person who contacts NSF or has been recommended. NSF will keep recommendations active for 12 months from the date of receipt.
