About the series
Join NSF Program Officers to Learn more about the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Education and Human Resources’ (EHR) Core Research Program (ECR).
What is EHR’s Core Research Program?
ECR focuses on providing funds for fundamental research, both curiosity-driven basic research and use-inspired basic research, that contributes to the general, explanatory knowledge that underlies STEM education. There are three broadly conceived Research Areas appropriate for funding in ECR:
- Research on STEM Learning and Learning Environments
- Research on Broadening Participation in STEM fields
- Research on STEM Workforce Development.
Within this framework, the ECR program supports a wide range of fundamental STEM education research activities, aimed at learners of all groups and ages in formal and informal settings.
During this informational webinar series, NSF program officers will provide you with:
- An overview of the ECR requirements
- A description of fundamental research
- Examples of ECR funded studies
- Pointers for preparing clear and effective budgets and budget justifications
- Responses to submitted questions
- Open Question and Answer time
For full details regarding this solicitation, feel free to view this recorded webinar from 2021.
