Integrative Strategies for Understanding Neural and Cognitive Systems (NSF-NCS) Program Webinar

About the series

The National Science Foundation invites you to attend a webinar to learn more about its recently released solicitation, Integrative Strategies for Understanding Neural and Cognitive Systems (NSF-NCS) NSF 16-508 (http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?WT.z_pims_id=505132&ods_key=nsf16508).

The complexities of brain and behavior pose fundamental questions in many areas of science and engineering, drawing intense interest across a broad spectrum of disciplinary perspectives while eluding explanation by any one of them. Rapid advances within and across disciplines are leading to an increasingly interconnected fabric of theories, models, empirical methods and findings, and educational approaches, opening new opportunities to understand complex aspects of neural and cognitive systems through integrative multidisciplinary approaches.

This webinar is designed to describe the goals and focus of the NSF-NCS solicitation, help investigators understand its scope, and answer any questions potential PIs may have.

The webinar will be held from 2pm -3pm EDT on Monday November 23, 2015. Questions about the solicitation can be submitted in advance or during the webinar to ncs@nsf.gov.

Please register here before 11:59pm EDT on Sunday, November 22, 2015.

After your registration is accepted, you will receive an email with a URL to join the meeting. Please be sure to join a few minutes before the start of the webinar. This system does not establish a voice connection on your computer; instead, your acceptance message will have a toll-free phone number that you will be prompted to call after joining. Please note that this registration is a manual process; therefore, do not expect an immediate acceptance. In the event the number of requests exceeds the capacity, some requests may have to be denied.

The webinar presentation, audio file and transcript will be available below under "Public Attachments" after webinar is over.
