Notice

November 8, 2013

"The STEM Talent Expansion Program is not accepting proposals for the December 3, 2013 deadline.  However, there is a broader funding opportunity to support projects that address immediate challenges and opportunities facing undergraduate STEM education, as well as those that anticipate new structures and functions of the undergraduate STEM learning and teaching enterprise.

To accomplish the goals of the STEP project that you have in mind, we invite you to submit proposals to the program description, "Improving Undergraduate STEM Education," available here.  Recognizing that the preparation of a globally-competitive workforce, including future teachers, and a scientifically literate populace requires excellent undergraduate STEM education, NSF invests in a wide-range of research-based and research-generating approaches to understanding STEM learning; to designing, testing, and studying curricular change and innovation; to disseminating and implementing best practices; and to broadening participation of individuals and institutions in STEM fields.

Proposals for support of projects should be submitted under (NSF) PD 14-7513.  Please note the target date of February 4, 2014.
