BIO Centers, Facilities, and Additional Research Infrastructure Cluster (CFARI)

The CFARI Cluster includes programs for larger infrastructure investments to meet the growing needs of the biological sciences research community and enable US researchers to remain competitive in a global research environment. These programs include institutes, centers, mid¬-scale research infrastructure, facilities, and additional research infrastructure. Many of these larger entities have scopes and research themes that are typically broad, complex, technical and/or integrative--beyond what a single or smaller research project can accomplish. Given their complexity and scope, they also require project management and/or team science expertise to ensure science outcomes are achieved. Many are also expected to develop innovative programs in education and training, broadening participation, tool development, or cyberinfrastructure development and management. Each of the programs below has specific requirements and criteria contained within a solicitation.
