About the series
The 2023 NSF Engineering CAREER Proposal Workshop will be held virtually over three days: May 8, May 9, and May 12, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time each day.
This virtual workshop will provide early career faculty with knowledge and strategies to enable the formulation of more competitive CAREER proposals for submission to the NSF Directorate for Engineering (ENG) in 2023. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with NSF Program Directors and CAREER awardees!
Attendees of the 2023 NSF ENG CAREER Workshop will benefit from:
- Mock proposal reviews by panel
- Interactions with ENG Program Directors
- Focus sessions with recent CAREER awardees
- Interactions across disciplines and engineering schools nationwide

Registrants are invited to participate in Days 1 (May 8) and 3 (May 12) of the workshop. The Day 2 (May 9) Mock Panel Review Session is limited to 300 participants who will be selected from the registrant pool. For more information, visit https://careerworkshop.asee.org.
Submissions are encouraged from junior faculty at Non-R1 Institutions, Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs). Women and under-represented minority junior faculty are also encouraged to apply.

CAREER: The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the NSF's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research. NSF encourages submission of CAREER proposals from early-career faculty at all CAREER-eligible organizations and especially encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups and persons with disabilities to apply.
