Webinar

Event Dates and Times

September 1, 2011   2 pm to 3:30 pm (EST)

The ADVANCE Institutional Transformation (IT) program provides funding for universities and colleges to address cultural and organizational barriers to the participation and advancement of women in STEM academic careers.  IT proposals are five-year, comprehensive, institution-wide projects.  The IT Catalyst proposals are two-year projects aimed at providing historically under-resourced institutions with opportunities to undergo planning activities to ready the institution for transformation.  The requested budget for either funding mechanism must reflect the proposed scope and impact of the project.  The webinar will include an introduction to the ADVANCE Program, how to prepare letters of intent, and full proposals.

Letters of Intent Due: October 3, 2011

Full Proposals: November 7, 2011

ADVANCE does not support projects targeting students and does not provide direct support to individual faculty for their science and engineering research and education programs.

The ADVANCE solicitation 10-593 (www.nsf.gov/advance <http://www.nsf.gov/advance> ), as well as the NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=papp) must be reviewed for complete proposal preparation rules and guidelines.
