About the series
The National Science Foundation, Alabama EPSCoR, and Tuskegee University will be holding a one-day workshop on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, following the Alabama EPSCoR Annual Meeting on March 28, 2006.
The workshop will provide an overview of the Foundation, its mission, priorities, and budget. It will cover the NSF proposal and merit review process and NSF programs that cut across disciplines. Additionally, representatives from NSF directorates will make presentations on their programs and will also be available individually and in breakout sessions for more specific discussions of potential research proposals.
The National Science Foundation is charged with keeping our nation’s science and engineering enterprise healthy, dynamic, and relevant and with advancing science, mathematics, engineering, and technology education at all levels from pre-K through postdoctoral. It is our hope that events such as this will stimulate new interest in NSF programs at institutions that have not been among our traditional customers, as well as at premier research institutions.
There is no registration fee for this event: however, pre-registration is required.
