About the series
National STEM Day – a day BIG NSF Chapter, along with NSF leadership and NSF program officers, will engage in outreach to local middle schools, supporting the education and mentorship of students pursuing STEM subjects. Join the NSF special emphasis group (SEG), Blacks In Government (BIG), NSF Chapter, as we take part in outreach to local middle schools, highlighting the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills, advanced degrees, and programs. NSF’s very own Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Karen Marrongelle, MPS Assistant Director, Dr. Sean Jones, and EDU’s Directorate Operations Officer, Lisa Mackall (BIG NSF Chapter President) will give the welcome address and closing remarks.
