About this event
Dear CELDi Members and Invited Guests:
The next meeting of the CELDi Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) and research team members will be held in the Dallas area on October 29, 2008. We hope you will be able to join us for the welcome reception planned for the evening of October 28. Members often say that the reception is valuable to a successful meeting because the casual format provides time to network with other logistics professionals.
Our host hotel is the Sheraton Grand at DFW. The hotel is conveniently located near the DFW International Airport and offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel. We have arranged for a conference rate of $134/night (equal to the Federal per diem) for conference attendees. We encourage you to make your lodging arrangements as early as possible by calling the hotel at 800-345-5251 and be sure to identify yourself as a CELDi conference participant. You may also reserve lodging using the web site below:

The conference begins on Wednesday morning with special presentations on a number of Center activities. We will then transition to a review of current projects and a preview of the new research activities. Researchers and students will provide updates on current research during the poster presentation session. A distinguished guest speaker will be presenting to the group before lunch.
After lunch, research faculty members will present updates for the ongoing Center-Designated Projects that were selected by the IAB. We will be highlighting new academic partners and member organizations. In addition, we will be selecting a date and venue for the Spring 2009 conference.
The Dallas area offers many attractions and we hope the location will be easily accessible for you. The meeting schedule was constructed to offer the most information in the shortest time. The condensed, high-impact agenda will accommodate late afternoon flights for those wishing to stay only one night. See you in Dallas!
