About this event
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Planning Grant Workshop for the proposed National Science Foundation Industry/University Collaborative Research Center for Dielectrics and Piezoelectrics (CDP). The meeting will be held August 20-21, 2012 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel in Raleigh, NC.
This meeting is a critical step in the formal development of the CPD. During the meeting we will review the center mission and operating policies and present a portfolio of proposed research projects for the center, organized under the following research thrusts:
The Planning Grant Workshop will provide a venue for the CDP faculty to consult with interested companies to refine the focus and breadth of the proposed center and to identify other potential members. Based on the feedback from this workshop and the level of membership commitments that we acquire, we will submit a full proposal to NSF at the end of September. The start date of the CDP is anticipated to be Spring 2013.
Please register for the planning grant workshop at our CPD website: http://www.mse.ncsu.edu/cdp/workshops. Here you will find hotel and travel information as well as additional information about the proposed CDP. We encourage you to register and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to take advantage of the group rate.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
