EHR Advisory Committee Fall 2016 Meeting

About the series


This is a bi-annual meeting of the Directorate for Education and Human Resources Advisory Committee Meeting.

The Education and Human Resources (EHR) Advisory Committee meeting will focus on how the Directorate should engage with three of the 10 NSF Big Ideas introduced by NSF Director Córdova in May 2016 (https://www.nsf.gov/about/congress/reports/nsf_big_ideas.pdf). On Wednesday, November 30th, the focus will be on Harnessing Data for 21st Century Science and Engineering and Work at the Human-Technology Frontier: Shaping the Future.  NSF INCLUDES is the focus on Thursday morning, December 1st.  For the meeting agenda, please see: https://www.nsf.gov/ehr/advisory.jsp.

This meeting is open to the public.  To attend the meeting in person, all visitors must contact EHR (ehr_ac@nsf.gov) at least 24 hours prior to the teleconference to arrange for a visitor's badge. All visitors must report to the NSF visitor desk located in the lobby at the 9th and N. Stuart Streets entrance at 4201 Wilson Blvd on the day of the teleconference to receive a visitor's badge.

The Advisory Committee meeting will be followed by a lecture in the continuing EHR Distinguished Lecture Series.  Advisory committee member, Dr. John Bruer, President Emeritus of the James S. McDonnell Foundation, will present the talk, Educational Neuroscience: A View from the Bridge” at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 1st, in Room 375, Stafford I.
