Informational Webinar on Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure 2015-2019 (NHERI)

About the series

Alternate date (only if October 7, 2014 date requires rescheduling):   October 23, 2014, 2:00 PM, to October 23, 2014, 4:00 pm

This informational webinar will provide an overview presentation (PDF 506KB) and answers to questions on the National Science Foundation (NSF) program solicitation Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure 2015-2019 (NHERI) (NSF 14-605).

NHERI will be a distributed, multi-user, national facility to provide the natural hazards engineering community with access to research infrastructure (earthquake and wind engineering experimental facilities, cyberinfrastructure, computational modeling and simulation tools, and research data), coupled with education and community outreach activities. NHERI will enable research and educational advances that can contribute knowledge and innovation for the nation's civil infrastructure and communities to prevent natural hazard events from becoming societal disasters.

Registration is required for this webinar; interested participants must register via WebEx. The registration deadline is October 3, 2014.

Once the webinar host approves your registration request, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the meeting.

Please be sure to join a few minutes before the start of the webinar. The system does not establish a voice connection on your computer; instead, your acceptance message will have a toll-free number that you will be prompted to call after joining.

Please note that this registration is a manual process; therefore, do not expect an immediate acceptance.  If the number of requests exceeds the capacity, some requests may need to be denied.
