About the series
An NSF NEES Information Facility Visit for representatives of organizations interested in obtaining information relevant to the development of a proposal for submission to the NSF program solicitation NSF 08-574, "George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation Operations (NEES Ops) FY 2010 - FY 2014," will be held on September 12, 2008, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Multi-Axial Subassemblage Testing (MAST) Laboratory, University of Minnesota, 2525 4th Street, SE, Minneapolis, MN. Information about directions to the MAST Laboratory, nearby parking, and lodging are available at http://nees.umn.edu/contact.php. Proposers are responsible for their own expenses to attend this facility visit.
This visit will include an overview of the MAST Laboratory operations and a tour of the facility. The overview of the MAST Laboratory operations will cover overall operations, management, equipment, staffing, user support, information technology, education, outreach, training, reporting and performance metrics, and interface activities with the NEES operations awardee.
