About the series
In 2007, the NSF Division of Chemistry's (CHE's) Committee of Visitors (COV) urged the Division to develop and implement a strategic plan. The ACS Town Hall Meeting in Boston, MA in August 2007 facilitated an exchange of information between CHE and the chemistry community that assisted in doing so. Over 100 Town Hall attendees provided written feedback at the meeting and others commented on the NSF website afterwards.
This meeting, on April 7th, will provide the chemical community, for the first time, with a summary of the NSF CHE's Strategic Directions 2008-2012 and enable a forum for questions and comments. This meeting will also examine the new and continuing CHE Programs and funding opportunities. Division Director, Luis Echegoyen will be presenting. Program Officers and other staff members will be available to answer questions.
