NSF/ED MSP State Coordinators' Meeting

About the series

Meeting purpose: To identify tools, resources, and management systems and to support on-going communication by developing and nurturing authentic partnerships among the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) efforts in order to advance teacher quality and student achievement in mathematics and science.  Meeting goals:  1) To discuss common experiences, widespread challenges, and potential solutions to identified overarching challenges; 2) To share resources, products and effective strategies supporting the advancement of high quality teaching and learning in mathematics and science; and 3) To establish mechanisms to allow Partnerships to easily share and access resources, products and effective strategies.  Meeting outcomes: 1) State MSPs will leave the meeting having developed a plan for accessing specific resources, products and/or strategies, which were shared during the meeting, in order to address identified needs in their respective states; and 2) NSF and ED will develop a plan, using input from meeting participants, for continued access and communication of resources, products and strategies evolving from the NSF supported and ED supported MSP efforts.  Meeting themes: Enhancing and Assessing Teacher Content and Pedagogical Knowledge.
