About this event
In conjunction with the NSF Town Hall, the NSF Division of Chemistry is sponsoring the Places & Spaces: Mapping Science exhibit at the ACS Spring National meeting in Chicago, IL. The Places & Spaces: Mapping Science exhibit was created to demonstrate the power of maps to navigate and manage physical places but also abstract topic spaces, see http://scimaps.org/. Visit the exhibit, Chicago Convention Center, McCormick Place-Lakeside, (outside the Exposition Hall) and see with your own eyes the extent to which maps can be employed to help make sense of the flood of information we are confronted with. Come hear Katy Börner, Indiana University, talk about mapping science globally and mapping chemistry locally during the NSF Town Hall on Monday, March 26th, 2007, 11am – 2pm, Chicago Convention Center, McCormick Place, Room S100BC. Dr. Börner's talk is scheduled to begin at noon.
