About the series
CLOSED MEETING
The purpose of this meeting is to provide advice and recommendations concerning proposals submitted to NSF for financial support. The meeting is designed to conduct the merit review and evaluation of proposals submitted to the Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program spring competition. The meeting is closed to the public as the proposals being reviewed include information of a proprietary or confidential nature, such as, technical information; financial data, such as salaries; and personal information concerning individuals associated with the proposals. These matters are exempt under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c),(4) and (6) of the Government in the Sunshine Act.
Welcome to the S-STEM Program Review Panel Meeting
This program makes grants to institutions of higher education to support scholarships for academically talented students demonstrating financial need, enabling them to enter the STEM workforce or STEM graduate school following completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate-level degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics disciplines. Grantee institutions are responsible for selecting scholarship recipients, reporting demographic information about student scholars, and managing the S-STEM project at the institution.
The program does not make scholarship awards directly to students; students are directed to contact their institution's Office of Financial Aid for this and other scholarship information.
