Smart Vehicle Concepts Center (SVC) Annual Meeting

About this event

This is a bi-annual meeting of the industry advisory board and center members to assess ongoing research and set priorities for new research directions. Visitors interested in membership are welcome if they are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The Ohio State University and Texas A&M University will be holding the Second Annual Summer 2009 Project Review & Industrial Advisory Board meeting of the NSF I/UCRC Smart Vehicle Concepts Center (SVC), on the OSU campus in Columbus, Ohio on August 12-13, 2009.

Please RSVP and provide the requested information for each attendee on the attached registration form by July 31, 2009.  It is encouraged to circulate this invitation within your organization and bring along interested colleagues.

The day-and-a-half meeting will begin at noon (with registration and boxed lunch) on Wednesday, August 12th and will end Thursday afternoon, August 13th.  An optional technical short course on shape memory alloys will be offered Wednesday morning. Please indicate in the registration form if you plan to attend the course. The course fee is $25 per person for SVC Members and $50 per person for Invited Guests. Payment methods and further information on the course will be provided at a later time.

Please note that the first day of the meeting is open to Members and Invited Guests, while the second day will feature the closed sessions (open to Members only).

New for this year, the meeting will feature a Sponsors Forum in which current SVC Members will give brief presentations on their organizations and their perspective of SVC research goals and methods.
