About the series
All active NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II grantees are required to attend the Phase II Grantees Conference scheduled to take place from April 14-17, 2008 at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel in Baltimore, MD. This annual conference is an opportunity for small businesses that have received NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II awards and supplements to share their technical and commercial achievements with the NSF program staff, potential investors and strategic partners, as well as having an opportunity to network with other small businesses for possible collaborations to grow their businesses. It also provides an opportunity to learn about new supplemental funding opportunities available to our Phase II grantees.
For the 2008 Phase II Grantees Conference, grantees will submit either a Quad Chart poster or presentation, depending on the date of their award. Recipients of Phase II awards made prior to May 1, 2007 will be scheduled for a Quad Chart presentation. Grantees with awards made after May 1, 2007 will participate in the Poster Session. All grantees will be scheduled for a one-on-one meeting with a NSF Program Director.
Detailed information about making hotel reservations, the conference agenda and requirements for grantees will be published on the conference website, to be released in early February 2008. Information will also be distributed to grantees via email at that time. Please check back for updates.
