Standards for K-12 Engineering Education

About this event

The Division of Research on Learning (DRL)/Directorate for Education and Human Resources, in coordination with the Directorate for Engineering, is pleased to announce a presentation on the Standards for K-12 Engineering Education report, recently issued by the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academies. The report is the main outcome of a DRL-funded project (0733584) aimed at assessing the value and feasibility of developing and implementing content standards for engineering education at the K-12 level. Greg Pearson, Study Director and Senior Program Officer, National Academy of Engineering, will discuss the study, its major conclusions, and recommendations. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd , from 11am to 12 noon, in Room Stafford Place II-555. Please join our discussion of this relevant topic.
