About this event
A National Secure Data Service (NSDS) would provide a platform of shared services to streamline and innovate data access, data linkage, and privacy protections to support expanded data use for evidence building across the nation. The CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 authorized the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) within the U.S. National Science Foundation to establish a five-year National Secure Data Service Demonstration Project to inform a full implementation of an NSDS.
This interactive webinar will describe the vision for an NSDS, provide an overview of activities from the first two years of the demonstration project, and discuss next steps as we explore the future of a potential NSDS 1.0. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to provide direct feedback to leaders of the NSDS project in small discussion groups and share their needs and expectations for a full-scale NSDS.
