Virtual event: Boise State University

The Story Collider is partnering with Boise State University to share stories from their graduate students who participate in the U.S. National Science Foundation Innovations in Graduate Education Program at the institution. Boise State University and Utah State University have piloted a storytelling intervention program to enhance professional identity and a sense of belonging and reduce impostor syndrome among students pursuing graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The project is working to develop a cohort-based program where students can learn and apply storytelling techniques through writing and sharing transformative stories about themselves.

The virtual event will highlight the personal stories of five students and their graduate careers — from facing challenging moments to embracing new opportunities. They will explore their career moves and personal growth journeys.

The event begins at 6 p.m. MT and will offer in-person and virtual options for attending.
