Important information for proposers

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in this funding opportunity and in the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) that is in effect for the relevant due date to which the proposal is being submitted. It is the responsibility of the proposer to ensure that the proposal meets these requirements. Submitting a proposal prior to a specified deadline does not negate this requirement.

DEB Core Proposal Submission through Research.gov

The NSF Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO) has implemented a requirement for submission of full proposals via Research.gov (or Grants.gov) for certain program solicitations, including the Division of Environmental Biology Core Programs solicitation (NSF 21-504). If you have already started a proposal in FastLane, don’t worry, you can still submit it via FastLane. But if you are starting a new proposal, please do so via Research.gov. For more information see the Dear Colleague Letter, NSF 20-129, about this change.
