EGFP: Top Five Things to Know about EPSCoR Graduate Fellowship Program (EGFP)
EGFP supports institutions in EPSCoR jurisdictions by providing funding for graduate fellowships to help support new or continuing EGFP eligible students. EGFP designated institutions receive funding to support Fellows yearly with $37,000 stipends and $16,000 for tuition and fees for 3 years. Fellows will have 5 years to utilize the funding. For Future PIs and Institutions
- Fellows do not need to be recruited prior to NSF PI award notification in Spring 2025
- Fellows will apply directly to institutions via the NSF ETAP application in Spring 2025
- Institutions new to NSF are welcome to apply
- Fellowships can support new or continuing EGFP eligible students
- Fellows are required to apply directly to institutions in Spring 2025 through NSF ETAP (etap.nsf.gov)
Potential PIs must submit proposals via Research.gov or Grants.gov by Oct 2, 2024, 5 p.m. local time
Potential Fellows
- EGFP designated Institutions will be listed in ETAP in Spring 2025
- Fellows apply directly to institutions via the NSF ETAP application (etap.nsf.gov) in Spring 2025
- Fellowships can support new or continuing EGFP eligible student applicants.
- Eligibility is not related to current graduate program acceptance, enrollment in a graduate degree program, nor years of graduate study
- Potential Fellows must meet Fellow requirements outlined in the solicitation (NSF 24-588), including receiving GRFP HM designation in Spring 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025
