All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in this funding opportunity and in the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) that is in effect for the relevant due date to which the proposal is being submitted. It is the responsibility of the proposer to ensure that the proposal meets these requirements. Submitting a proposal prior to a specified deadline does not negate this requirement.

NSF hosted a webinar in June 2023 to review NSF's Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) inviting U.S.-Japan teams to submit proposals for Human-Centered Data for Disaster Resilience Research (HCDDRR) (NSF 23-089).

With the HCDDRR opportunity, NSF invites proposals on new data and data-driven research projects centered on human dimensions of disaster resilience. Proposers are particularly encouraged to submit proposals that exploit special synergies and transfer learning between Japanese and U.S. contexts.
