The Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) on Mathematical modeling of policy options for evolving public health challenges (MPOPHC) is a joint funding opportunity by the U.S. National Science Foundation's Directorates for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS) and Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This Dear Colleague Letter encourages the submission of research projects aimed at mathematical modeling of the transmission of respiratory pathogens among human hosts, the most likely cause of future pandemics, with a focus on policy options for evolving public health challenges.

The submission deadline for this funding opportunity is June 20, 2024.
