For using a longitudinal design to study the impact of community organizations, home and school environments in the transition of low-income, urban youth from high school to post-secondary education or work. She is identifying factors that attract and retain ethnic minority youths into science and technology across time and social contexts. She involves undergraduate students enrolled in her educational psychology courses in field research.
