For researching how certain types of microbial interactions occur in chlorinated solvents, such as tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene, considered the most common contaminants of groundwater. Her research may contribute to new tools to help predict effectiveness of bioaugmentation strategies. Her education program includes a diverse hands-on learning experience for pre-college students and mentoring activities for student summertime research projects.
