This week with NSF Director Panchanathan
On Monday, November 7, NSF Director Sethuraman Panchanathan joined the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) ) in Denver as an #APLU2022 keynote speaker. Director Panchanathan spoke of how public research universities could leverage the "CHIPS and Science Act" to address workforce gaps by finding and investing in the incredible talent embedded in our communities across the country.
Back at NSF headquarters, the director hosted Dan Arvizu, chancellor of New Mexico State University and member of the President's Council of Advisors for Science and Technology, to discuss the institution's research, education and innovation initiatives.
In the weeks ahead, the director will engage with leaders from educational institutions across the country, advocating to build strong partnerships across government, industry and academia to create innovative ecosystems focused on providing solutions to society's most pressing issues.
