The U.S. National Science Foundation recently published a Request for Comments to gather input from the public on new intellectual property (IP) options in the agency's public-private partnerships that aim to provide greater flexibility and balance the interests of both academia and industry in such joint funding initiatives.

NSF seeks feedback from individuals and organizations across all sectors, including industry, academia, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and other interested parties. The comments will be used to guide how NSF builds new intellectual property options into partnership agreements involving industry.

Responses will be accepted until 5 p.m. EDT on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at https://airtable.com/app9KPUhqR2lAb4Zf/pag9d0QhLcOXkGlud/form.

Respondents only need to provide feedback on one or more questions of interest or relevance to them. Each question is voluntary and optional.
