New NSF opportunity for broadening participation in microelectronics
The NSF Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES Initiative (NSF INCLUDES) has begun a new funding opportunity that aims to broaden participation in microelectronics through Research Experiences and Mentoring in response to the "CHIPS and Science Act of 2022."
Through a collaboration between NSF INCLUDES and the NSF Research Experience and Mentoring (REM) program, active NSF projects with a microelectronics focus may request supplemental funding up to $250,000 to engage participants in a microelectronics research environment and structured mentoring throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
NSF EArly-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) and conference proposals will also be considered.
For more information, see Dear Colleague Letter: NSF INCLUDES Research Experience and Mentoring (REM) Supplemental Funding Opportunities (NSF 24-062). For Fiscal Year 2024 funding, proposals are due by April 10, 2024.
