About this event
Hosts for this office hour:
- Tom Martin, Program Director
- Goli Yamini, Program Director
The Smart Health and Biomedical Research in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Data Science Program (SCH; NSF 23-614), an interagency program funded by NSF and NIH, supports the development of transformative high-risk, high-reward advances in computer and information science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, behavioral and/or cognitive research to address pressing questions in the biomedical and public health communities. In this office hour, Program Directors will present information about the Smart Health Program, provide guidance on how to avoid common proposal pitfalls, and answer participants’ questions about the solicitation.
The IIS Office Hours are for researchers interested in learning about programs and policies in the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS) in the Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate (CISE) at NSF. Office Hours are designed to give current and potential investigators a window into IIS. Attendance at office hours is voluntary and designed to help investigators gain information that can help them strengthen their proposals. Sessions will be closed-captioned.
Please note that the office hours are designed to answer questions for a broad range of researchers and not for inquiries about specific proposals. If you would like to talk about a specific proposal you are considering submitting or which was already reviewed, please email the relevant program. This will connect you with program officers with whom you can ask questions.
