About the series
This public webinar invites researchers and educators to learn about the National AI Research Resource (NAIRR), the recent launch of a multi-agency NAIRR Pilot effort led by NSF, and engagement mechanisms for your research communities.
The NAIRR was envisioned (in a Task Force led by the Office of Science & Technology Policy and NSF) as a widely accessible AI research cyberinfrastructure that brings together computational resources, data, testbeds, algorithms, software, services, networks, and expertise. Such a resource would help to democratize the AI research and development (R&D) landscape in the United States for the benefit of all. In the recent White House Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of AI, NSF was tasked with launching a NAIRR Pilot, which would demonstrate the feasibility of and demand for the NAIRR. Join NSF Program staff in this webinar that will describe the concept of the NAIRR and the recent (January 24, 2024) launch of the NAIRR Pilot. Topics discussed will cover partnerships with other Federal agencies and industry, a survey to researchers and educators on NAIRR use cases, and initial availability of AI-centric advanced computing resources.
This webinar will include a Q&A period with attendees. Please join the conversation to learn how the NAIRR Pilot can support your research community!
