About this event
Welcome to the IIS Bonus Office Hours: The National AI Research Resource (NAIRR)
Hosts for this office hour:
NAIRR Pilot Team with Katie Anytpas, PhD and Michael Littman, PhD
This office hour will focus on the National AI Research Resource (NAIRR). The NAIRR is a concept for a national infrastructure that connects U.S. researchers to computational, data, software, model and training resources they need to participate in AI research. The NAIRR pilot, as directed in the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence, is a proof-of-concept for the eventual full-scale NAIRR. The pilot will focus on supporting research and education across the nationwide research community, while gaining insights that will refine the design of a full NAIRR. For more background on the program, please visit the https://nairrpilot.org/
The IIS Office Hours are for researchers interested in learning about programs and policies in the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS) in the Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate (CISE) at NSF. Office Hours are designed to give current and potential investigators a window into IIS and other partners. Attendance at office hours is voluntary and designed to help investigators gain information that can help them strengthen their proposals. Sessions will be closed-captioned.
