Important information for proposers

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in this funding opportunity and in the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) that is in effect for the relevant due date to which the proposal is being submitted. It is the responsibility of the proposer to ensure that the proposal meets these requirements. Submitting a proposal prior to a specified deadline does not negate this requirement.

Dear Colleague Letter

Changes to the CyberTraining solicitation

Dear Colleagues:

The Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure wishes to draw attention to changes to its Learning and Workforce Development programs to further its goal of democratizing access to the NSF-funded advanced cyberinfrastructure (CI) ecosystem. Specifically, the CI Professional project class in the Training-based Workforce Development for Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (CyberTraining) solicitation (previously NSF 22-574) has been removed and has been incorporated in the new Strengthening the Cyberinfrastructure Professionals Ecosystem (SCIPE) program (NSF 23-521). The Training-based Workforce Development for Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (CyberTraining) program has been revised to reflect this (NSF 23-520). The CyberTraining and SCIPE solicitations provide additional clarifications on the expectations from proposals. The next deadline for both programs is February 23, 2023, and is the third Thursday in January in subsequent years.

For additional guidance, please contact asriniva@nsf.gov for the CyberTraining program, tgulbran@nsf.gov for the SCIPE program, or the contacts listed online for the respective solicitations.

Sincerely,
Margaret Martonosi
