Job opportunity: program manager (station oversight manager), OPP Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics


The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking a qualified candidate for a program manager (station oversight manager) position for the Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics Section (AIL) within the Directorate for Geosciences (GEO), Office of Polar Programs (OPP) in Alexandria, VA.

This position ensures onsite safety, emergency planning and response, and station security through an annual oversight plan. The manager will deploy to Antarctica as needed, providing hands-on oversight of facilities, conducting compliance audits, and delivering updates to OPP leadership. Additional responsibilities include planning evaluations of proposed costs and program performance, coordinating milestones with stakeholders, and guiding a team to maintain program efficiency and effectiveness. This role is critical to the success of the U.S. Antarctic Program's mission and offers a unique chance to contribute to Antarctic operations.
