Dr. Tatiana Daychman joins the NSF Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships as a translational research and interagency collaboration fellow for the NSF Building the Prototype Open Knowledge Network program. She is the co-founder of the Methodological School of Science, an online platform for doctoral students, where she leads seminars and workshops on scientific methodologies, knowledge generation and its visual representation and enhancement of academic research. She also coaches students on all aspects of the dissertation writing process, including time management, motivation and self-discipline. Daychman holds a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and computer science from Tomsk Polytechnic University and a Master of Science in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech. As a doctoral candidate at Virginia Tech, her research centers on performance measurement, efficiency and resilience, particularly in hurricane evacuations with a focus on social vulnerability. Beyond her professional and academic work, Daychman is an active community leader, serving as president of Women in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech and volunteering at her local animal shelter and various community events.
