Dr. Marcin Iwanicki is an assistant professor in the department of chemistry and chemical biology at Stevens Institute of Technology, where he leads cell and molecular research and education programs. Iwanicki earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from George Mason University and a doctorate from the University of Virginia. His postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School focused on studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of women's cancers. Through his scholarly activities, he trained doctoral students, designed, implemented, and led curriculum, obtained external funds, and served on education committees. He also served on multiple governmental research and education study sections. Through his work, he has developed an appreciation and interest in the administration and management of science and education. He is also interested in imparting data-driven reasoning to policymakers and the public.
