NSF GRANTED
Growing Research Access for Nationally Transformative Equity and Diversity

GRANTED Convenings

Introduction

The NSF GRANTED initiative is a wholly new, unique program that supports nationally transformative ideas and scalable models to strengthen the Nation’s research enterprise, particularly at emerging and minority serving research institutions.

Inaugural GRANTED awardees are implementing conferences, workshops, and convenings centered around one or more of the three GRANTED themes:

  • Enhancing practices and processes within the research enterprise;
  • Developing and strengthening human capital within the research enterprise;
  • Translating effective practices related to the research enterprise into diverse institutional and organizational contexts through partnerships with professional societies and organizations.

In addition, conference participants will surface and discuss best practices, successes, gaps, and challenges across one or many of the research enterprise sectors supported by GRANTED (see the GRANTED wheel visualization for a presentation of the research enterprise sectors supported by GRANTED).

Each convening will bring together a diverse array of research support and service infrastructure stakeholders with the goal to energize the community and catalyze the development of bold and ambitious ideas to respond to the GRANTED Program Description Funding Opportunity PD 23-221Y.

In addition, conference participants will surface and discuss best practices, successes, gaps, and challenges across one or many of the research enterprise sectors supported by GRANTED (see the GRANTED wheel visualization for a presentation of the research enterprise sectors supported by GRANTED).
