Dear Colleagues, 

Welcome to the new website of the U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS). As part of the effort to revamp the entire NSF website, MPS has launched a set of new webpages designed to be more easily navigable for our research communities and to more clearly convey the national value and impact of the science we support. 

Among many other improvements, NSF's new website includes plain-language guidance on how to prepare and submit research proposals and an updated funding search page that includes features requested by many in our communities, such as improved keyword search results and filters allowing student opportunities to be found more easily. 

We invite you to explore the overview pages below, which provide a top-level view of the many programs, centers, institutes and facilities that MPS supports across our divisions:
